Marketing diversity

Marketing products can be difficult when the products are not diverse. Having diversity when producing products, can always lead to a wider range of people. In a hot rod business, it's not about building a classic car, but build a lifted truck, or a lowered truck, or something new, etc. Keeping  products diverse will lead to a bigger business with a wider range of people, wanting to buy product.

Sometimes building or producing something that you want, will not bring the profits needed. Building or producing what customers want will bring profit. In a hot rod shop, it's not all about building your dream car every time you get a new one, but it's about building what other people want to make profit.

Spreading the word about a hot rod business is important. Especially when the shop can build world class show cars/trucks. How can a person spread the word? Car shows. Car shows are the biggest places for people to advertise there hot rod business by showing there cars. The following pic is a dodge from the Sema show in Vegas.
When people see a truck like this, they notice that you can build something amazing.

Let's take a moment to think about cars. Cars will always break down sooner or later, especially a car that has been sitting for a long time. There needs to be people building that car and making money off of it. It is not a simple job to rebuild a car that has been sitting. Rust, locked up motor, tires dry rotted etc, this is all things that people have to deal with everyday, but the profit to be made is always worth it. Take the car below for example (1970 Amc Javelin Amx), very few people even know what it is and even fewer people use it to build a world class hot rod, but it is worth a lot of money.
